FAQ

1. How many dogs do we walk at once?

Only six client dogs per hike!

2. How long are the hikes?

The hikes are 1.5 – 2 hours on the trails. The length of the hike depends on weather and the dogs’ activity level that day.

3. What areas do you provide the dogwalking service?

We do pick-up and drop-off in North Burnaby, and East Vancouver. And Happy Dogs dogwalkers are professional and experienced at going onto movie studio lots such as Vancouver Film Studios, The Bridge Studios, Mammoth Studios and Lion’s Gate Studios, to provide pick-up and drop-off service to film industry workers who bring their dogs to work. <map to be inserted at a later time (when I find one!)>

4. Where do you take the dogs?

The dogs get to enjoy trails in Port Moody, Coquitlam and North Vancouver. We have our own secret trails that we do not share with many other dog walkers, as we do not like to meet other groups on the trails for safety reasons.

5. Are there any requirements for dogs to join the Happy Dogs hikes?

Yes, dogs must be well socialized and dog friendly to go on our hikes. Also, all dogs over the age of 8 months old must be spayed or neutered. Due to insurance reasons Happy Dogs is unable to take certain breeds. Although we do not personally agree with the breed restrictions we cannot get insurance to cover these breeds; pit bulls terriers, american bulldogs, rottweilers, shar-peis, some mastiffs, huskies, samoyeds and malamutes. Our sincerest apologies to these breed owners. Please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to put you in contact with private dogwalkers who accept these breeds.
