Happy Dogs Walking Service is proudly owned and operated by Dove Cresswell, and her dogs, ‘Mick,’ a very special 9 year old border collie, ‘Riot,’ a bouncy 5 year old Australian Shepherd, “Muppet” a perpetually happy rescued 3 yr old mini poodle mix, and “Flash” an exuberant 1 yr old rescued Australian Koolie. Dove has been working with dogs, and other animals, in various professions for 13 years now. This has included four years as a veterinary assistant, and nine years as a professio
nal animal trainer for film and television. Although Dove has had the opportunity to work with many different types of animals; including wolves, cougars, owls, reptiles, insects and every kind of domestic animal; dogs remain Dove’s favorite to train and work with. Their ability to learn our languages, work for us, love us unconditionally, and bring us so much joy, make them the most fun and complex animals that will never cease to amaze us.
Aside from hiking with dogs everyday, Dove spends her spare time doing even more dog stuff! Mick, Riot and Muppet all compete in agility (Flash is in training). Riot also does Rally-Obedience, Musical Freestyle and novice sheepherding. Mick passed his test to be a certified St.John’s Ambulance Therapy dog, and also likes to herd sheep. But the most rewarding thing Dove does with dogs is being a foster home for rescue dogs, usually through That’ll Do Border Collie Rescue (www.bcbordercollies.com). Dove has now fostered 50+ dogs since 2004!

Cheryl Cooper is a truly certified dog-nut! Cheryl has had many dogs throughout her life, big and small, and is currently owned by two high drive border collies, ‘Ru and Ric,’ one very sweet little jack Russell terrier ‘Cal,’ and a giant livestock guardian dog, Emmy the Anatolian Shepherd. Cheryl has 10 years of experience as a dogwalker and we at Happy Dogs are extremely fortunate to have her working with us. Cheryl has also been a foster home for That’ll Do Border Collie Rescue and has opened up her home on more than one occasion to entire litters of rescue puppies! Cheryl has fostered over 70 dogs! Many of Cheryl’s previous foster dogs have gone on to excel as agility and flyball dogs, and most importantly, loving family members. In Cheryl’s spare time she competes in agility, flyball and sheepherding with her dogs.
